Over the past 21 years, Chris has built and managed the NHS VAT practice of CRS VAT Consulting to become a leading provider of VAT services to the NHS. Chris’ range of experience includes development and implementation of complex NHS business/non-business and partial exemption VAT methods to obtain maximum VAT savings.

Diana Glasspool

Diana has extensive experience in carrying out the full range of NHS VAT reviews and advisory services. Diana has extensive experience of VAT advisory services and business & partial exemption VAT methods in the public NHS and private sectors. Diana brings over 35 years of VAT experience gained within HMRC as a senior control officer and as head of VAT for in-house VAT departments of large commercial organisations.

Henry Hoad
VAT Services Technical Manager

Henry joined CRS VAT Consulting from HM Revenue & Customs. Henry has been the key senior VAT officer of HMRC’s NHS VAT Team for over 17 years, having spent 40 years in HMRC working in VAT from the very beginning of the tax in the UK. Henry advises clients on a range of complex VAT transactions and legal precedents and conducting VAT seminars.

Leonard Hunter

Leonard has extensive experience of VAT and duties advisory services and business & partial exemption methods in the public NHS, local authority and private sectors and brings over 30 years of VAT experience gained within HMRC and large accountancy firms. Leonard’s range of VAT experience includes briefing clients on possible effects of legislative changes/outcomes of legal cases and representing clients in negotiations with HMRC to obtain optimal VAT outcomes.

Christopher Woodfall
VAT Consultant

Chris joined the team in 2010 as an Accounting and Finance graduate and has gone on to become a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA).

Chris’ experience includes the full range of NHS VAT advisory and compliance services, but he is particularly focussed on the development and implementation of complex combined NHS business/non-business and partial exemption VAT special methods which have been approved by HMRC. Given Chris’ technical VAT knowledge and expertise in handling large amounts of data, he is responsible for a number of our larger clients.
